CLIA Cruise Week today (18 September 2025) sailed into its fourth day across the UK and Ireland, with thousands of agents having already joined events and activities
Highlights so far have included the UK’s Biggest Cruise Event, which saw more than 1,000 agencies take part in customer-facing events, ship visits, training and campaign launches – making it the largest coordinated cross-agent activation ever staged in the UK cruise trade.
A projected 90 per cent of agents posted updates on their social media channels, further amplifying their participation.
More than 40 cruise lines are also taking part in the event, which runs until 21 September. They have offered a raft of rewards for the trade, with incentives on offer for completing bookings including sweepstakes entries to win cruises and concert tickets; gift bags and hampers; fam trip opportunities; and high street vouchers and points.
Travel partners have also been recognised for completing training modules and live quizzes. In total, 3,000 agents have pledged their Cruise Week support.
Andy Harmer, CLIA UK & Ireland managing director, said: “We’ve seen an incredible level of energy and creativity from the trade since Cruise Week launched. From imaginative window displays to full-scale customer events, agents are going above and beyond to inspire new cruise bookings.”
He continued: “And with incentives continuing throughout the week, there are still plenty of opportunities for agents to get involved and showcase the excitement and value of a holiday at sea.”
Earlier this week, Harmer and Lynn Narraway joined Cruise Corner co-host Jack Carter to discuss Cruise Week and why it is important event for travel agents across the UK and Ireland.
