AE Expeditions hosts more than 100 agents on ship visit event

AE Expeditions

AE Expeditions has hosted two overnight ship visits for 106 travel agents in Troon and Aberdeen

The stays aboard Greg Mortimer allowed agents to experience the trip as their clients would, the line said, “providing a more immersive tour experience”.

The programme offered agents access to public areas, onboard amenities, and gave them the chance to attend an expedition lecture hosted by AE’s expert team, as well as the opportunity to try the onboard food and drink.

“Being able to enjoy the facilities, attend a lecture, and ask questions throughout made a real difference. It gave me a much clearer understanding of what clients can expect,” said Becky Walker of Club Voyages, who joined the Aberdeen stay.

This programme is part of AE’s broader trade engagement strategy, which aims to build stronger relationships with travel agents through hands-on experience and product immersion.

“We know how valuable it is for agents to truly understand our offering,” commented Andrew Turner, head of sales at AE Expeditions UK. “These visits allowed them to see the expedition product in context, and we’ve been really encouraged by the feedback.”

AE said it will look to build on the success of this programme with more trade-focused events throughout the rest of the year.

It comes after the line appointed Bethany Brown as business development sales support EMEA. Brown has more than 13 years experience in the travel industry, including seven years at Blue Bay Travel.
