MSC Cruises has appointed Natasha Smith as its new regional sales manager for the midlands and central region
Smith began her career as a travel agent before moving into field sales roles beyond the travel sector. Most recently, she returned to the industry as regional sales manager at Balkan Holidays.
Alyshia Bartlett, head of retail, homeworking, and tour operations at MSC Cruises, said: “Natasha will be a great asset to our team.
“Her enthusiasm, industry insight, and proven track record in account management will be invaluable as we continue to strengthen our trade partnerships and expand our distribution across the region.”
The line said the appointment forms part of its ongoing growth strategy and commitment to its network of travel agents across the UK and Ireland.
Smith said: “I have always had a genuine passion for travel, and I am thrilled to be joining the team at MSC Cruises.
“I am excited to bring my experience to the role, working closely with our valued trade partners across the midlands and central region.”
It comes after Chantiers De l’Atlantique received an order from MSC for two new World class ships, set to be delivered in 2029 and 2030, respectively.
The order will see MSC Cruises grow its fleet of World class ships to six, joining MSC World Europa and MSC World America along with MSC World Asia and MSC World Atlantic, both of which will be in service by 2027.
MSC Cruises said the new vessels will continue to uphold the high energy efficiency standards set by their sister ships, featuring shore power plug-in connectivity to reduce carbon emissions in port, advanced wastewater treatment systems and new advances in waste management.
