Inteletravel

InteleTravel has reported a 60 per cent increase in cruise turnover in the first eight months of the year compared to the same period in 2024

The homeworking firm recorded gross cruise sales of £17.5 million from January to August, up from £11 million in the same period in 2024.

There has also been a 66 per cent spike in the number of agents booking cruise, with average booking values up 5 per cent.

The findings come as InteleTravel prepares for Cruise Week (15-21 September) with a programme of training to support advisors, including nine cruise webinars, podcasts, special edition newsletters, deals and increased social media activity.

InteleTravel UK and Ireland managing director Tricia Handley-Hughes said: “We are thrilled with this increase, and particularly pleased that an increasing number of our advisors are focussing on cruising and higher-end pricing which is reflected in the average booking values.

“This confirms our focus on cruise training is effective, which should be music to the ears of our partners. We are ramping up our training programme further to help advisors and expect this growth trajectory to continue.”

Earlier this year the company saw cruise booking revenues top £20 million in the year to the end of April 2025, marking an 84 per cent increase on the previous 12 months.

At the time cruise business accounted for 11 per cent of all InteleTravel bookings, up from 7 per cent a year ago. Average booking values have also risen during the period, up 10 per cent to nearly £3,200.
