ULTIMATE DESTINATION GUIDE
Caribbean
The Caribbean cruise region needs little introduction. Guaranteed sunshine, perfect beaches, cultural activities, snorkelling unlike anywhere else – guests cannot get enough

You only have to hear the word Caribbean to conjure up images of turquoise waters, white sand beaches fringed by palm trees and cooling cocktails. And it’s all true – and more.
Away from the coast you can find out how chocolate is made in Grenada or take a tour of a rum factory on islands such as Bridgetown.
The many islands all have a distinctive character of their own, and Cuba is like no other with its shabby chic capital Havana lined with old American cars.
Royal Caribbean sales director UK, Ireland and Spain Stuart Byron says: "The beauty of cruising in the Caribbean is that each destination we visit is full of distinct experiences; in just one holiday, our guests can experience the true essence of each island."
Royal Caribbean's top selling tips
- New ports of call including St Vincent, where they filmed the famous Pirates of the Caribbean
- Curacao is one of the best sailaways in the Caribbean, passing stunning colour houses and take in breathtaking views
- Some of our itineraries are on our smaller ships, making your holiday an intimate experience with our crew on board
- It’s not just about the tropical weather and sandy beaches, the Caribbean offers so much more with sightseeing tours, horseback riding, hiking a rainforest and exploring in an off-road vehicle

Aruba
One of the so-called ABC Islands, making up the westernmost isles of the Leeward Antilles with neighbouring Bonaire and Curacao, the island was discovered by the Spanish in the 15th century and conquered by the Dutch who found gold. The past can be explored in the compact capital Oranjestad before time out on the continuous seven-mile sweep of Palm and Eagle Beach.

St Lucia
With a lush rainforest covering most of the island, which is a paradise for bird watchers and hikers, along with its silver and gold sand beaches, St Lucia is an idyllic island for a land-stay combined with a cruise. It is also a fantastic choice for honeymooners and couples looking for a romantic break.

Cuba
Part of the Caribbean, but unlike anywhere else, suggest clients combine a stay in intoxicating Havana with a beach resort. Top of the list for many is a ride in an old American car. They range from inexpensive, spluttering taxis to gleaming beauties providing tours around sightseeing highlights. Guests can relax with a mojito and listen to live bands in one of the many music bars.
Don't miss this excursion
Savour the real taste of Nassau with Tru Bahamian Food Tours, a three-hour walking tour with plenty of stops along the way to sample conch fritters, rum cake, beer, locally made chocolate and other treats.
